You’re here for one thing, aren’t you? With a title like this, you’re here to see dudes bomb out, whether you’re here for sadistic purposes, or you just like to cringe and torture yourself. Whatever you’re here for, the meat is ready. Today’s main course? Skaters stacking it, particularly on their heads and faces. Concussion cavalcades, anyone?
First up, we have Demarcus James smacking body first into the half pipe wall. It was a pretty tricky maneuver to pull off, and you can see just how high he soars on his first few jumps. Sadly he doesn’t make it. But what makes this one interesting is how the commentator keeps going on about positive vibes when James is clearly exhibiting the Fencing response! Definitely needs some good vibes, right fam? Maybe some hugs and kisses can cure world hunger too 😉
Next one is John Shanahan getting a bit personal with a bike rack. And yet he just shrugs it off like a champ, or at least he appears to! If he DOES have concussion, the symptoms can be subtle. Like not waxing the concrete he’s gonna grind on! Oh wait, that would have been before. Uhhh how many times did he fall in one day? With all jokes aside, you can clearly see the wax, just as clearly as you can see the metal make contact with his head. Brilliant and nail-bitingly painful.
Our final trip in Thrasher’s infamous hall is Dustin Dollin going out like a light and skidding even further than his board rolled away. He’s out cold for sure, and it’s one of the less funny and more painful looking clips from the hall – not to say that Shanahan’s was a walk in the park or anything!
These brutal bombings always put us in the mood to listen to some hardcore rock, due to how gritty they can be. Can’t help it, it just goes with the aesthetic! So today’s musical recommendation from our partner Blue Pie is two old favourites… first up, Silver Mountain.
